She and I married young and were together for 10 years before we realized that we had grown apart. While that was very difficult, it made me look closely at what made it work so well in the beginning and then some how stop working. What I realized was that one of the things that I had loved so much in the beginning was that she needed me but as we grew up together and both found our ways into professional careers, we still had affection for one another but she didn't really "need " me and I learned that I'm someone that needs to be needed. ....... So that's what I'm looking for, to be needed-as a friend, as a lover, as a husband, and possibly as a father.
